Diesel 101 (Most Common Negative Characteristics of Diesel Fuel on Equipment)
If any of the following negative characteristics are present in your fuel delivery system, inefficient combustions are taking place leading to increased emissions, fuel consumption, excessive engine wear and power loss.
• Water Contamination (Water that enters the fuel system from tank condensation or supplied contamination affects combustion)
• Lack of Lubricity (Diesel fuel with low lubricity content drastically reduces the overall life and performance of diesel equipment)
• Microbial Contamination (Microorganisms that produce high frequency fuel failures requiring fuel filter & injector replacement)
• Low Cetane Value (Low energy fuel requires far greater heat from the compression to combust producing inefficient combustions)
• Poor Cold Weather Operability (Fuels that contain high volumes of water and paraffin will ice or gel at far warmer temperatures)
• Zero Stabilizer (Diesel fuel will begin to deteriorate into its heavier forms producing fallout or sludge at the bottom of the tank)
Benefits of Using a All In One Diesel Fuel Additive such as Clean Fire
• Water Disbursement Package (An effective water disbursement allows water contamination collected from bulk storage tanks and transfer vehicles to move in safe volumes throughout the fuel delivery system until it is converted into steam inside the combustion chamber. Water disbursements such as the one in Clean Fire play a key role in breaking down and removing the environmental factor needed for the microbial contamination to survive.
• Stabilizer Package (Bulk storage tanks must have a preventative maintenance program aimed at increasing the lifespan of the stored fuel. Notable reductions in fuel quality of number 2 fuel begins 21 days after refinement. A fuel stabilizer must be added before storage to reduce fuel deterioration & diesel fallout. No fuel should be stored without a stabilizer.)
• Detergent Package (An effective carbon detergent will clean and maintain deposit free surfaces of the valves, piston dome, injectors, rings, and remaining combustion chamber through continuous use of the additive product. Carbon Detergents should be focused on removing carbon contamination over time)
• Lubricity Package (A non-corrosive lubricity additive specific to diesel engine atmospheric conditions such as Clean Fire's will effectively lubricate the entire combustion chamber, fuel delivery system, fuel pump, upper piston rings and injectors. A steady source of lubricity in diesel fuel will substantially increase the lifespan and maintain factory performance of any equipment in use today.)
• Anti-Gel Package (Cold weather operability should be viewed as a life-or-death situation and extensive research should be conducted when choosing and testing Anti-Gel / Cold Flow improvers. Clean Fire's concentrated cold flow additive package is designed to keep the paraffin in fuel from attaching to each other at extreme temperatures. This helps maintain a small enough paraffin group size to safely pass through the fuel filter system lowering the CFPP.)
• Cetane Package (The benefit of higher cetane has been found to improve engine performance while under load and drastically reducing overall emissions. By using Clean Fire to increase the cetane value of diesel fuel it will support the operating equipment to generate a more efficient compression ignition, thus allowing the equipment to run more efficient, quieter and with less emissions.)
